Topics to be covered:
The Fredericksburg Voter Registrar will explain the new rules for Absentee Voting in Virginia.
All voter registration drive certifications expired in June, so, we will show a short video so you can re-certify. The Registrar will answer your voter registration and absentee ballot questions.
Representatives from the Tim Kaine, Vangie Williams and Abigail Spanberger campaigns will explain how their campaigns would like you to communicate their message to voters. Participants will have an opportunity to practice talking with voters about each candidate.
Two different technology platforms will be used by the different campaigns (NGP VAN/MiniVAN and Aristotle/VLO). See a demo of these tools and learn how to use the mobile apps. Bring a cell phone or tablet if you’d like to use the apps on your device.

Details: We all worked together last year to flip Virginia blue in the 2017 election — and did we ever! We got a taste of winning - and we want more please! This year, Network NoVA is launching the 2nd Annual Women's Summit on June 22-23, 2018 at the Dulles Hyatt Regency to continue the progress of the Flip Virginia Blue movement. We want to build a stronger coalition across Virginia. We will be inviting all 11 Congressional Districts candidates and Senator Tim Kaine. We hope you will join us as a participant, endorse us as a group and/or sponsor at a higher level. We are also looking for individuals to serve as Congressional Row captains as defined below.Please express your interest here. 1.Congressional Row Tables will have:
Information and representation of the Congressional Candidate. ( I.E. the candidate and campaign staff with literature. Ideally the candidate will speak at approximately noon.)
Information and representation from the local Democratic committees
Information on the local grassroots who are working in that CD. (This will be in the form of a directory.)
A sign-up form to get the attendees into action by volunteering with the campaign and/or other groups
A large sign identifying the district. This sign will be consistent throughout the districts and will be designed by Robbin and Krystal
Each room will have a calendar and list of existing grassroots organizations in that area.
2. We will have one or more Congressional CD captains for each district. The responsibilities of the captain(s) will include:
Point of contact for activists to get them into action.
Attending the entire Women’s Summit event, supervising the booth and helping with set up/breakdown as needed.
Commit to be at table during breaks designed for networking (your grassroots team can take turns.)
Prior to the event: identifying grassroots groups within the CD and encouraging attendance and participation at the Summit. Coordinating with other groups/individuals already doing this work is encouraged

After the event:
Serve as contact for grassroots groups
Oversee CD activist calendar
